Completely rewritten from the ground up, Trash 2 takes the best of Trash and makes it even better. Now, nearly ten years later, Trash is back. As the years have passed, it's remained a cult favorite of artists such as Nine Inch Nails, Noisia, Garbage, KoЯn, Sigur Rós, and anyone looking to add dirt, grime, and character to their tracks. It's been a decade since Trash first arrived as the ultimate distortion toolkit. The videos you posted were definitely helpful to gain perspective on slight differences, but of equal importance they helped me hone in a bit more on my priorities. Please Note: This discounted item is only available to current students, teachers and schools. I have to remind myself of this because the Arturia Mellotron sounds fantastic and I'd like to add a Fairlight emulation without having to buy it as a single product. No matter which company I buy, the core of what appeals to me are excellent (don't have to be near perfect) emulations of the Prophet 5, Juno-6, and Emullator II. or stated another way, something that might require additional clean-up work in the mixing stage.

In one or two of rounds of the benchmark, I had to remind myself that "failure" was not exactly matching the inconsistent flaws of the original hardware.

When I think about practical application of these synths in a full mix, the slight behavioral variances that were highlighted in the videos suddenly don't worry me. In my case though, 28 instruments covering a wide range of territory while still sounding great at roughly $10 an instrument is awfully hard to beat. Ditto if my primary instrument was synth/keys and my music centered around it. If my priority was singularly an OB-X or Minimoog I would strongly consider going with Synapse. Nevertheless, I agree the Synapse products sound great and are reasonably priced if buying a single library. Normally I wouldn't consider that overly significant but apparently Artura launched something called "‘free‑running’ oscillator technology" in collection 8 that makes a big jump forward when using multiple oscillators on one voice. The OB-X video was fairly recent but I want to point out the Minimoog video is from 2017 and using an older version of the Arturia Mini V. The only one I own is the SonicProjects OP-X. Thanks, interesting to hear them side by side (maybe I'm a cheap date - none of them in either video sounded bad - thought Diva was the "least great" but not bad).
